Where to invest your money?

If you are serious about making some money, what choices do you have?
- You can put your money in a bank and earn 2% interest. Not very pleasing is it?
- You can keep it under the mattress and earn no interest. Not a very wise decision.
- Invest in the stock market. Big gamble in my opinion, but potentially big returns or loose it all.
- Invest in gold. You should have done that when prices were $500 an ounce.
- Buy government bonds. You know those things you buy for $5 and after 10 years their worth $10. Who can wait 10 years for an investment return.
- Buy mutual funds or stick your money in a 401k. Good choice for the long term. You know retirement.
- Open a business. Stick all of your money in a place that has a 50/50 chance of surviving.
- Play the highly unlikely case of winning in Vegas. go with your last $1000 and maybe win the slot machine jackpot.
- Start investing in High Yield Investment Programs. These are the places you see on the internet that offer a huge return on your money. The problem! 99.9% are scams and will run off with your money.
- Do nothing. Live your life for the now and enjoy yourself. We all know the government will take care of us old folk in the future.
